MORENO VALLEY – Three suspects are in custody in connection with the mid-May shooting death of a 24-year-old Moreno Valley man, the Sheriff's Department reported Wednesday.

Anthony Joseph Castro, 31, of Moreno Valley, Robert Gonzales Castro, 29, of San Bernardino, and Steven Ray Eynon, 22, of Fontana, were booked on suspicion of murder at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside, according to Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Jaime Briones

Juan Gonzalez was gunned down around 9 p.m. on May 18 in the 24000 block of Atwood Avenue in Moreno Valley. Witnesses told investigators there was a confrontation between several men just before Gonzalez was shot.

He was found lying in the street, near his Ford Thunderbird.

Briones said sheriff's homicide investigators were “able to gather sufficient information to arrest” the three suspects, but did not elaborate.
