MENIFEE – A fire destroyed the garage of a home in Menifee Wednesday, also burning two vehicles inside before it was contained, a fire official said.

The fire in the 29800 block of Pebble Beach Drive was reported at 1:39 p.m., according to Riverside County fire information officer Massiel Ladron De Guevara.

A resident was treated for a minor injury at the scene and then released, De Guevara said.

The injury to the resident was not fire-related, officials said.

It took 18 firefighters about 30 minutes to quell the flames, which were contained to the garage and vehicles, officials said.
