LAKE ELSINORE – Northbound lanes of the Corona (15) Freeway in Lake Elsinore will close at Main Street Friday through Saturday for repair work on the Main Street bridge, Caltrans officials said Thursday.
Workers will begin reducing the number of lanes open to motorists at 9 p.m. Friday.
By 11 p.m., all motorists traveling north will be forced to exit the freeway at Main Street, then cross and reenter the freeway on the north side of Main Street.
At 6 a.m. Saturday, one lane at a time will be reopened, until they are all open by 8 a.m., said Shelli Lombardo, with the California Department of Transportation.
Workers will replace concrete slabs on the Main Street Bridge, Lombardo said.
“The closure will occur at night to reduce the inconvenience to motorists,” Lombardo said.
