RENO, Nev. – Reno fire officials say a faulty electric stove top is to blame for a house fire that killed several pet dogs, including a litter of puppies.
The fire on Ellis Street broke out Friday night.
Investigators say a woman who lived at residence tried to put the fire out herself but it got away from her and she was forced outside.
Officials say she was treated for smoke inhalation and burns to her arms and upper torso.
Investigators say there were 10 puppies and six adult dogs in the house. Two adult dogs survived.
